Zoe Woods is an Adelaide based glass artist who explores the human connection to nature through abstracted organic pattern. Through heavy studio based experimentation she investigates the optical qualities of glass, with its ability to bend light, to stretch, magnify or reflect an abstracted image, and the feeling of wonder that can be enticed. Her work has been informed by historical scientific illustrations, contemporary glass exploring microscopic form, 'Op art', and the potential for optical illusion to evoke a feeling of wonder.
